These instructions describe how to use the Aloak Spam Filter with Netscape Mail, to move incoming messages identified as Spam to a chosen folder.
First create an email folder to move Spam email to:
Open the File menu choose New, and then Folder. You see the New Folder dialog box.
Type the name of the folder e.g. "Spam Mail".
Click the drop-down list and choose a folder location and click OK. Your new folder appears in your Mail Folders list.
Next, setup a rule to move all Spam email into the new folder automatically:
Open the Tools menu and select Message Filters.
If you have multiple email accounts, select the one to which you want to apply the filter in the "Filters For" drop down box.
Type a name for the filter in the "Filter Name" box e.g. "Spam Filter".
Click to select "Match any of the following".
Use the drop-down lists to choose "Subject", "Contains" and then type "*SPAM*" in the text box (without the quotes).
In the drop-down list below "Perform this action:", select "Move to folder", then select the folder you created above e.g. "Spam Mail".
Click OK to confirm your settings.
Click OK in the Message Filters dialog box. The filter begins filtering incoming messages immediately.
